Taku-Tori > Wreck Bay, Galapagos Islands fall behind us as we head out for French Polynesia, with some 3000 miles of the unknown in front of us. We've said our goodbyes and now our fate is in our hands and in the hand of God.

Taku-Tori > A quick look back at San Crisobal and the volcano in the distance as we depart Wreck Bay.

Taku-Tori > Two weeks out and around 2000 miles from land the wind drops to nothing, so it's out with the light-air sails.

Taku-Tori > Sandy hooks another Dorado and it takes off on a blistering run.

Taku-Tori > Under spinnaker in very light conditions.

Taku-Tori > Despite the long periods of no traffic, you must always stand a watch and remain vigiliant as ships appear on the horizon and are within close range within 20 minutes. In this case we were 1000 miles out and this ship came from nowhere.

Taku-Tori > After a week of wonderful easy sailing the weather changes. 1200 miles out and storms approach. The large green area on the radar shows a storm front approaching from our starboard quarter.

Taku-Tori > After checking the radar, a quick look back confirms that we are about to be hit by a storm.
